We've all been in some pretty fantastic and fun configurations up to this point in our barbershop careers. We've learned so much from them all. This particular configuration is a surprise in many ways. The first being that two of us are from the Nashville area and the other two from the Atlanta area. Long distance, eh? This ought to prove interesting!
It all started with Robin and Susan discussing their summer plans (over Facebook) when the conversation turned to future quartetting plans for Robin. Robin lamented that she really wanted to sing bass in her next quartet. Susan joked that she doesn't sing anything but bass, so that would prove to be a difficult set up. Robin mentioned that she would be more than willing to sing baritone to Susan's bass. That's all Susan needed to hear!
That lead to a series of Facebook messages entitled "Dream Quartet of Mine" instigating thoughts and inspirations of a new quartet. So many questions! After one meeting, graciously hosted (in absentia) by Mona Allday (thank you so much!), it was a no-brainer! It was a great time in every aspect.
The all-time ultimate quartet question - what do we call ourselves? Dream? Why not? Jen and Stacy have always said over the years what a dream it would be to get to sing together. Robin's very initial facebook message title solidified it!
We're all very excited about this new adventure! Here we go, girls!!!
